Nothing new will be added here
This blog is no longer being updated. All news will be posted directly to the @rpmsoftware twitter page.
I'm going to replace this journal with the twitter...
Lately this journal looks like a twitter page. When I link to something those of you visiting from twitter have to click once to come here and then again to get to whatever I’m linking to. I think I’m going to just use the @rpmsoftware twitter account as the development journal.

Api/ProcFromAdd and Api/ProcFormEdit were failing in some processes.
Some fields were incorrectly being reported as being repeating in processes where repeating fields is disabled, resulting in the fields being hidden.

6.1 hit CRM today
We always update the internal RPM deployment we use for CRM with new versions first.
6.1 deployment scheduled for Jan 20th at 7pm. Both AGENT and RESOLVE.
We have an oilfield customer who just finished designing a process with 650 fields and 300 field groups. RPM users will understand why that’s impressive.

Fix for splits
There was a problem where sometimes splits would get the wrong percentage the first time they were applied to an item. Subsequent calculations fixed the problem. We’ve fixed this, all splits are calculating correctly on the first calculation now.
Working on Worksheets
We’re right in the thick of 6.1 development. The main feature: “Worksheets” for process management. I’ll provide more info in a yet-to-be-announced January webinar.

Added an option per status trigger: use the new rule that doesn’t allow trigger to an earlier status level than the current status (default), or the old way where the current status doesn’t matter.

Fix last night
We uploaded a fix last night for actions
Adding an action with & in the last word would not show anything after that in Internet Explorer. Example: “Added quote for AT&T” would show as “Added quote for AT”.
Actions listed on a form page now respect the user preference for date sorting which is default newest on top.
Actions now indicate if they are hidden...
You can turn the new action list off in the...
Next time we release a feature like this we’ll provide people with a note or option or something. Like in this case we could’ve put a note there “We can now display your unfinished actions here” with options like “Tell me more”, “Enable it”, and “Leave my homepage alone!!”.

This is a very interesting way for people who have to use Internet Explorer. They can improve performance with applications like ours without affecting other websites in any way. If it turns out to be as good as advertised I’ll make sure we add support in the next version of RPM.
Second fix
Last night we uploaded a fix. It appears that in 5.6 when an agent user started a form any initial global actions were being duplicated.
